Personality & Traits
General Overview | Drauc is intelligent and disciplined, with almost artificial perseverance and perfectionism. His demeanor is restrained, frugal in words and virtually inexpressive, following the best values of an upbringing based on the precepts of Surak. Having repressed his emotions from an earlier age than most of his compatriots, Drauc can be cold and distant, blunt to the point of rudeness. Drauc believes that rational behavior is the only valid way to conduct himself and that his task is to enlighten the lives of emotional beings with the advantages of logic. While he never tries to fully impose this mentality on his peers due to the concept of IDIC. Drauc's inner wasteland, due to the death of his bond mate, urges him to seek casual contact with other people, so that those slight brushes activate his touch telepathy skills. In that way he can have glimpses of emotions for himself. This behavior borders on the pathological and Drauc is ashamed of it and tries to hide it at all costs. However, he always ended up involved in social events that he doesn't seem to fit into. This lack of self-control troubles him deeply and he links it to the mixture of his Vulcan and Romulan blood. Perhaps because of all this, his approach to logic is adaptable enough to always match what he needs. And it is very difficult to make him change his mind. |

Personal History | Drauc Kejail ie-Jia'anKahr is a child of space and two cultures. He was conceived on a Romulan Tal Shiar starship. His father was the chief engineer, and his mother was a V’Shar deep cover agent. When she realized she was pregnant she managed to avoid Tal Shiar agents and ships and make her way back to Vulcan, during this cat and mouse Drauc was born on a Vulcan V’Shar ship. Upon her return she resigned from the V’Shar and returned to Lyr T'aya region and clan Lyr Zor. A year later his mother was bond mated to his stepfather and six months later his half-sister was born. Drauc was raised in the traditional Clan Lyr Zor methods of education. He had difficulty with his education growing up, to which both his stepfather and mother attributed to his Romulan blood. He did, however, persevere and made it to the end. At age of thirty-five he left his ancestral estate and moved to the city of Jia'anKahr, where he was bond mated to Aelorin, to whom he had been koon-ul when he was seven. He began to study Computational Science and Engineering as well as both Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering at the Vulcan Science Academy annex in Jia’anKahr. Two years into his studies, he received the news his bond mate was pregnant. She decided to travel to her ancestral estates to have their child. She never made it as the hover vehicle she was in was in a massive accident, killing her instantly. The resulting backlash of psychic energy of the bond between his wife and him nearly killed him. He had been in a deep coma for six months. When he revived, he shocked his family. He withdrew from his studies at the Vulcan Science Academy and instead enlisted into the Federation Merchant Marine. He was shipped off to the Federation Merchant Marine Academy and training grounds on Danula II. Here he trained for six months in basic rudiments of stellar cartography, starship operations, and the like. He then spent the next six months in engineering school; where he learned the basics of systems and maintenance engineering (in particular computer maintenance, optical data network and communication systems) and propulsion engineering. He graduated top of his class and was given a rank of Crewman 1st Class and assigned to the FMMS Perdition as an Engineer's mate. There he worked under the tutelage of Chief Warrant Officer 1st Class Asmita Yen Mah, chief of engineering on the FMMS Perdition. The FMMS Perdition was an old-line Merchant Marine ship with a maximum sustained warp of six. As Chief Yen Mah liked to say, “She is held together with bubblegum, bailing wire, duct tape and spit.” Chief Yen Mah was a firm but fair leader of her engineering crew. She drilled them in rapid deployment of their EVA suits and trained them constantly on their duties as well as emergency actions. She was also a great mentor and advocate of extra studies. This training paid off when one of the Plasma Ejectors ruptured. Drauc was able to get his EVA suit on and rescue the engineers on duty, then helped bring the badly damaged engine core back online allowing the FMMS Perdition to limp to a Starbase. The ship was declared unsalvageable, and the crew was dispersed to other vessels in the Federation Merchant Marine. For his action Drauc received a special commendation for "endurance and bravery” by the Federation Merchant Marine Command. For his part Drauc came to the attention of Vice Admiral S’Adrasaur of Star Fleet Corps of Engineer. The Vice Admiral personally went to Danula II, before Drauc could be reassigned to a ship, and offered him the opportunity to go to Starfleet Academy. Drauc accepted the offer as it was a sound and logical choice. Because of his prior education Drauc was accelerated through many of the mundane courses. He again graduated top of his class and received multiple engineering areas. He has had a rising star career since his graduation. |

Service Record | Clan Lyr Zor education: - Age Zero to four: visual mathematics, basic calculation and begun the neurological organization of his brains (which was followed by an identity meld) - By age four: began mathematics (with algebra, geometry and physics dominating his studies) and species identification. Also began to coordinate the use of his physical body. - At age eight: began preliminary telepathic communication. He was also taught etiquette, his clan history, Vulcan anthropology, calculus and quantum physics. - At age ten: learned to suppress cortical stimuli in the dominant hemisphere. He also learned of his race’s cultural history and began a study of Vulcan rites of passage. - By age eleven: learned of the pressure points needed for mind melding, memory accuracy and internal time counting. Also was introduced to logic and definition, the principles of analysis, concreteness of thought and physical deportment. - Ages thirteen to fifteen (the beginning of formal training): The first rite of Tal T'Lee was conducted (was assisted in his meditation by an adept of his clan council). Following his learning to control his subdominant cortices was Dwemish Hi-An, where he learned identity isolation and brain control with numbers systems and equations. He also learned multiplication left to right whereupon he took part in Enok-Kal Fi Lar (the processes of definition and the concepts of given). - Between ages sixteen to nineteen: Once he completed the beginning of his formal training, he took part in An-Prele (learning pain control meditation from a clan council adept). They were also expected to read Essays of Discipline and Analysis of Pseudodoxy in addition to learning to segregate the lobes of his brain. - Between ages twenty to twenty-four: He was expected to learn logical paradigms and behavioral modification through the The Runes of T'Vish. They also learned multiplication right to left, diagonal and cross multiplication as well as how to isolate his katra. - Between ages twenty-five to twenty-nine: The Sele-An-T'Lee was conducted (comprising of lessons in subdominant brain organization, advanced philosophy and logic, muscle coordination and the control of will). Part of this included learning the five steps (the belief discipline, reality awareness, sensory acuteness, visual calculation and fact analysis). He was also taught advanced mind meld techniques. Further readings were also expected, which included Logic and Definition, Equations, Systems of Logic, The Interior and Purpose as Prime Motivator. - By ages thirty to thirty-five: He was expected to have conducted the Norn-La-Hal (which involved superior control meditation and neurological organization). Furthermore, importance was placed on the dignity and tradition in Vulcan identity as well as the contemplations of infinity. There was also further study of Vulcan dharma as well as advanced readings on the mystagogues of Surak, Scorus, T'Enne, T'Vish, Prisu and Seltar. The training’s final stage involved Venlinahr (the state most adult Vulcans had attained) which involved meditation by individual discretion.
